Dear WEESA Members and Colleagues, Women’s empowerment – often among poor women – has been a driving force behind Bangladesh’s economic growth. But what do the latest data reveal about labor market trends? This learning event unpacks the factors shaping women’s economic participation, identifying key constraints, and presenting an evidence-based policy toolkit to guide decision-making and inform policies. The tools are prioritized for their potential to close gaps, boost women’s labor force participation and income, and enhance women’s economic empowerment. Join us on October 30, 2025, 9–10 am (EDT), for a timely and nuanced discussion, packed with actionable insights to guide the work of policymakers and development practitioners alike.
