Introduction
Join a dynamic and client-focused team where you’ll help individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals through professional financial planning and advice. This role is ideal for a motivated and entrepreneurial financial professional with a passion for building long-term client relationships, growing a client portfolio, and delivering holistic financial solutions. You will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing client relationships, and guiding clients through every stage of the financial planning process, from needs analysis to implementation and ongoing review.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Prospecting for and closing new business
• Maintaining existing business
• Developing and presenting financial planning recommendations and/or alternatives to clients
• Adopting a holistic approach to financial advice
• Establishing and defining professional relationships with clients
• Gathering financial data and setting financial objectives
• Analysing and evaluating financial information
• Implementing and monitoring financial planning recommendations
Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric
• Successfully completed the Class of Business exam
• Successfully completed the RE5 exam
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® or an equivalent full qualification (NQF Level 6 with 20 credits)
• Currently registered with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority as a full representative
• Two or more years’ experience as a representative rendering financial advice and intermediary services
• Must be computer literate at a basic to intermediate level in Microsoft software
• Must have excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to close deals
• Must demonstrate high initiative and entrepreneurial ability, and be able to work independently
• Own transport and a cell phone are mandatory
Package & Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. Remuneration will be discussed individually with shortlisted candidates based on their qualifications, experience, industry accreditation, and overall suitability for the role.
In addition to remuneration, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and grow a professional client portfolio within a well-established financial services environment.
