Subscribe Daily Variety November 04, 2025 It's been 100 days since David Ellison took over Paramount-Skydance, and he's been busy courting blockbuster deals and shaking up Hollywood. Variety's Tatiana Siegel, Brent Lang and Matt Donnelly take a look inside the new regime in our latest cover story. Paramount has inked deals with Will Smith, the "Stranger Things" creators and UFC CEO Dana White, who plans to bring a fight to the West House next year for Donald Trump's 80th birthday. There are also films from Tom Cruise, another "Star Trek" reboot and a "Call of Duty" adaptation from Taylor Sheridan before he leaves for NBCUniversal. Check out the full story below. Also in one bright spot for late-night, Jon Stewart has renewed his contract at "The Daily Show" to continue through 2026 as its host for one night per week.
