Take a look at what's happening in December!

The Capitol Visitor Center will be closed December 24-25 and January 1.

We will close at 1 p.m. on December 31.

In December, Capitol Conversations returns with three presentations that are sure to interest you.

We will discuss the technologies, setbacks, and triumphs of creating the Statue of Freedom. Learn about the notable events that occurred from 1800 to 1810 inside the first Senate chamber. On December 17, we will present live from the 2025 Capitol Christmas Tree, and share the history of this Capitol holiday tradition and how this tree traveled from Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada.

Capitol Conversations meets Wednesdays online at 2 p.m.
