| Hello! 👋 Oh boy. You know that silly thing where Google runs an update when I travel? Well I am on the road today and yesterday as my plane touched down I opened my phone to see that Google has now added a feature whereby at the bottom of an AI Overview, there is a button to ask followup questions, which opens up AI Mode. They are doing more and more to shuffle people to AI Mode. Also, the new Gemini 3 is now powering AI Mode Thinking mode in many countries outside of the US for paid subscribers of Gemini. We are in the midst of seeing search transform. The new Gemini 3 powered AI mode can create entirely new user interfaces so that the Search results don't even look like traditional Google results. This newsletter is a shorter one compared to usual. I'm working on some changes, trying to automate some parts of the administrative tasks that go on behind the scenes. I've shared more in this episode on how I used the new Google Antigravity coding IDE to make a Chrome extension to help me add new stories to newsletter. I have never made a Chrome extension before and this worked in just a few minutes. Wow!
