The Library of Congress Literary Initiatives Team is looking for interns to join us for the Spring 2026 semseter. Follow this link to learn about this opportunity.
Our interns work directly with the members of the Literary Initiatives Office to help plan year-round programming as well as the annual National Book Festival.
Some of the work that our interns do includes:
- Researching authors and reviewing publisher catalogs
- Organizing book and author information provided by publishers
- Brainstorming and contributing programming ideas
- Assisting with literary ambassador programs
- Writing, proofreading and reviewing website content
...and more.
This program is a great fit for anyone who is studying English or creative writing, library science, and other related subjects in the field. It is intended to offer training for those looking to have a career in arts administration, publishing and public programming.
