This week, we unveiled our latest Bull Market List, which highlights the enthusiast vehicles Hagerty's Automotive Intelligence team believes are most likely to rise in value next year. We've been publishing this list annually since 2018—mostly with good results—and we've learned a lot along the way. Here are five of the biggest takeaways.
One thing we know for sure: The list always sparks debate. Everyone has an opinion about which cars we should have included and which ones don't belong. That's part of the fun. So if you have strong feelings, join the conversation by commenting on the article (or video), or by emailing me directly at brabold@hagerty.com.
Occasionally, we hear that the Bull Market List is too focused on financials—what a car costs and how much it might appreciate. But we don't talk about the money to help you get rich flipping collector cars. We talk about the money to help you find something exciting to drive now, enjoy for a few years, and maybe get most of your money back when it's time to move on.
If none of this year's picks gets your heart racing, no problem. There are millions of other cars out there—go buy one you do find exciting. But, if one of these has been on your wish list for a while, maybe this is the nudge you've been waiting for. (For me, that car is the Alfa GTV, which I've dreamed of owning since I first saw a 1969 model 25 years ago.)
