Now, I am immersed in the biggest technology transformation since Henry Ford's Model T, as new Chinese entrants do battle with Elon Musk and legacy automakers to develop cheaper, better electric cars, faster. But will that be enough to entice reluctant consumers to abandon the fossil-fuel vehicles they grew up with.
