I've lived in the region for 16 years and watched the pace of social and political change, driven and complicated by incredible wealth, transform the monarchies we cover: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman, plus Yemen, where war and one of the world's most critical humanitarian catastrophes persists.
