Just as everyone in Hollywood is settling down for their Thanksgiving break, a shocking development for an Apple TV series has pulled it from its planned December release due to plagiarism accusations. The French-language thriller "The Hunt," scheduled to release on Dec. 3, is under investigation over allegations it copied its story from the 1973 novel "Shoot" by Douglas Fairbairn. Apple TV has postponed the show indefinitely and scrubbed all promotional materials from its site. The novel was also adapted into a 1976 film, also titled "Shoot." Check out how similar the loglines are below. Finally, last night's "Dancing With the Stars" finale drew a record 72 million votes, double last year's tally. As the winner is revealed, Emily Longeretta explains how the show brought back must-watch live TV and how it aims to top itself next season. -- Jordan Moreau |
